The GARP Risk Academy is a practice-oriented, financial risk management education and training institution. It is a non-profit, wholly-owned subsidiary of the Global Association of Risk Professionals, a professional association with 50,000 members in 135 countries. 

The aim of the Risk Academy is to ‘create a culture of risk awareness’ throughout an entire organization. It does this through a series of training and certification programs overseen by a committee of internationally-respected academics and industry practitioners. The Risk Academy also publishes learning material that supports its practice-oriented certification programs. In addition, the Risk Academy offers Continuing Professional Education programs and Train-the-Trainer courses in support of its national and international programs.
